I also very much like your tower, with the bricks as separate paintings but also as a part of a whole. It really works fabulously well! Like you, my work is usually a response to something around me, even if is is a translation of a word or line in a poem, or just a childhood memory. Like you, I tend to let the painting evolve into its own world. But I also admire artists who are completely abstract. The great thing is how much our connections help us also learn from each other.
