Opportunity to Work with Ashley, Weekly on a Wednesday Evening

Ashley  will be once again hosting his ‘Colour & Coast’ workshop at Truro College. The focus is Cornwall’s coastal landscape and working from photo’s and drawings Ashley will help you develop your painting skills and techniques, imaginatively and creatively using oil paints or acrylics. This course is suitable for all levels of ability and is a 10 week course starting on Wednesday 25th April, fee £93.75.

Workshop Updates

Our ‘Working with the life Model’ workshop went off very well with a full house and a good mixture of students from absolute beginners to those with lots of experience.

 It seems Ashley put all the students through their paces with a mixture of short and long poses, using a variety of drawing and painting tools. Thank-you to everyone who completed the feedback form, we received some lovely comments about the workshop and with such positive feedback, I am sure it is one we will do again.

Colour in the Landscape Workshop

Also Ashley’s ‘Colour in the Landscape', 2 day workshop at Honeycomb Animation in Devon was a great success! The group focused on making the transition from observational drawing in the landscape, and exploring methods of abstracting the subject matter to create work in oils and acrylics, using colour, mark making and line.  The final critique proved quite fascinating, comparing the different approaches to the same subject matter.
